Presently, there  are  clutch  springs  made  of  our  oil
tempered spring steel  wire  in  most  of  the  European
automobiles. This special wire is made of a steel quality
specifically selected for these  products  offering  close
dimensional  tolerances,  best  surface  condition,  and
optimal  winding  characteristics  resulting   from   this.
Here, the features of the wire result  from  the  special
heat treatment,  from  which  a  martensitically  drawn
microstructure is developed giving high tensile strength
and toughness to the final product.

Since   2007   we   also   manufacture   shaved   oil
tempered spring steel wire for high-end  products like motor valve springs or bow springs in ZMS.

Minimum tensile strength variations,  close  dimensional
tolerances, and perfect surfaces are important  criteria
for the design of the products. All wires produced  with
Messrs.  Stahl-   und   Drahtwerk   Röslau   GmbH   are
controlled    continuously     according     to     exactly
determined   testing   plans   during    the    production
process.
