Our team cycled total 1.786 km in common and has been remunerated internally with certificates and a „coffee party“.
We look forward to next year’s colleagues, who will – again or NEW - participate.
Using energy sustainably - Certificate
At Stahl- und Drahtwerk Röslau GmbH, the topic of energy efficiency has a high priority within the company's sustainability strategy. Since 2016 we are participants of the “ E.ON Energy Efficiency-Network „Franconia Networks II“.
During this partnership our company has identified more optimization potential and increased the energy efficiency. The environment benefits from the depressed CO2-emissions and at the same time we get more and sustainable independence from the energy market. „This enables us to secure our location at Röslau and we are making in important contribution to achieving climate protection goals“, says Willi Josef Ferfers, CEO.
For our company’s pleasure we received during the meeting at company Kaeser, Coburg in June a certificate for the outperform of the strived goals. The certificate has been received by our responsible electrically qualified person, Mr. Ulrich Tröger.
From the “E.ON Energy Efficiency-Network“ companies benefit in many aspects. They are guided technicalwise by moderation and qualified energy consultancy and are in a moderated and systematic exchange with the other companies within the network. This enables to implement qualified energy efficiency- and climate protection measures and thus, to reach their own saving targets.

Final spurt at the work anniversaries 2023 in Stahl- und Drahtwerk Röslau GmbH
Our Ingrid Steinert, who is with us as a.o.wire tester, was able to celebrate her 25.th work anniversary together with foreman, management and work council. One further anniversary will take place in September and the celebration with all jubiliees Friday, 13. October 2023 at the restaurant „Laube“ in Grün near to Röslau.
Gesellschafterspende 2023 für einen guten Zweck
Ende des Jahres 2022 erreichte uns ein Brief des Vereins Hilfe für Frauen in Not e.V. und weckte unser Interesse daran, das AWO Frauenhaus Hochfranken in Selb zu unterstützen. Das AWO-Frauenhaus verfügt über sieben Zimmer und diverse Gemeinschaftsräume (Küche, Wohnraum) sowie drei Bäder. Die Frauen im Alter zwischen 18 und 70 Jahren sind meist Opfer von häuslicher Gewalt und Stalking. Teilweise halten sich bis zu 16 Kinder mit im Haus auf. Gerade diese leiden besonders unter der Situation, müssen sie doch ihr gewohntes Umfeld, Schule und Freunde verlassen. Vielen Frauen konnte schon dabei geholfen werden, zur Ruhe zu kommen und sich eine neue Zukunft aufzubauen.
Die Gesellschafter unseres Unternehmens wählen jährlich einen guten Zweck für ihre Spende und im März wurde diese übergeben.
Entgegengenommen wurde diese von Tanja Lang, 1. Vorsitzende Hilfe für Frauen in Not e.V. – hier im Bild mit Geschäftsführer Willi Josef Ferfers und unserer Betriebsratsvorsitzenden, Nadine Anger.

Company tour of the CSU seniors union in SDW and RW
For a group of the CSU seniors union a company tour in our facilities took place has been organised together with the senior major of Röslau, Mr. Gerald Schade on March, 21, 2023. With bright sunshine and in a good mood the participants recieved a comprehensive insight into the production of our products. As a farewell, everyone was allowed to take a small gift with them before having coffee.

Our foreman, Mr. Werner Grießhammer, who has been with us for 25 years, was able to celebrate the first work anniversary.
A few days later, Mr. Birol Yilmaz followed, also with 25 years of staff membership
As always all jubilees – there will be a few more in 2023 – will once again celebrate together with their families, colleagues and management.
Company tour for staff from company Scherdel in SDW and RW
For several Scherdel-employees a company tour in our facilities took place on January, 26, 2023.
This interesting tour took place in cloudy winter weather but in a good mood.
A counter-invitation was issued and the date agreed at short notice.
Creative management (IDM) at Stahl- und Drahtwerk Röslau GmbH – new Logo
Our campaign for the new logo „IDM“ found huge success.
Many good suggestions have been collected – therefore the logo has been combined out of three design drafts. Patricia Gulden has created the logo out of these three winning suggestions and got a present from our managing director, Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Willi Josef Ferfers

Work anniversary in Stahl- und Drahtwerk Röslau GmbH
Mr. Gerhard Beck, employee of the drawing die polishing shop, Mr. Waldemar Eisele, machine operator, Mr. Roland Maresch, carrier, Mr. Ulrich Tröger, electrician, Mr. Werner Seidel, locksmith and Mr. Viktor Weber, wire hardener, have been employed in the Stahl- und Drahtwerk Röslau for 25 years.
During the celebration in the Gasthaus Zur Laube in Grün near Röslau and a dinner together with the families and colleagues of the jubilarians, the managing director, Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Willi Josef Ferfers, dignified the expertise and high commitment of the jubilarians and thanked them on behalf of the shareholders and the advisory board for their loyalty to the company. Certificates of honor and flowers for the wives and partners of the jubilarians were handed over.
Franconia is networking
The partner companies of "Franconia Networks II" met in Röslau on September 22, 2022 at the host Stahl- und Drahtwerk Röslau GmbH.
The "Energy Efficiency Network Franconia Networks II" is supported by E.ON Energie Deutschland – giving advice to the companies and working with them to improve efficiency.
At Stahl- und Drahtwerk Röslau GmbH, the topic of energy efficiency has a high priority within the company's sustainability strategy. “The network offers participants the opportunity to identify their individual optimization potential and to increase the company's own energy efficiency. This allows companies to reduce CO2 emissions and at the same time gain more independence from the energy market in the long term. Right now, this can mean the decisive advantage in competition,” explained Managing Director Willi Josef Ferfers.
Torsten Gebhardt, Mayor of Röslau, thanked the participants for their commitment to energy efficiency and climate protection.
The focus of the specialist lectures and the exchange of experiences was the determination and presentation of energy-related key figures and operating data. The aim of the regular meetings is the exchange with like-minded people and energy experts, which brings new impulses and savings potential for operational practice and further expands the energy know-how of those involved.
Stahl und Drahtwerke Röslau participated „Wire 2022“
1057 exhibitors from more than 50 countries came to Düsseldorf to present technological highlights for the production of wires, the treatment of wires as well as spring production technology at the exhibition area with 53.000 square meters surface.
Mainly our clients, but also interested visitors from Germany and abroad took advantage in the possibility to visit our fair booth in hall 10. At the booth several product highlights were shown and explained. Intense discussions regarding the current challenges of the global energy transition, new requirements to wire treatment – and all of this in regard to the aspect of sustainability – took place during the exhibition from 20. till 24 June 2022.
Highly appreciated has been also the possibility of direct contact after the long-lasting distance period. We are planning to participate also “WIRE 2024”
